 October, 2002 - Wave Concepts Announces the release of Athena 3.3 and NeighborList 1.5. New features in Athena inlude the addition of CDMA1xRTT algorithms allowing users the unique ability to graphically see data rates and available voice capacity at every point in thier 1xRTT network. Neighborlist 1.5, a MapInfoTM MBX which allows users to set and modify neighborlists using MapInfoTM, now outputs neighborlists for uploading to the switch in both Lucent GeoNeighbor and Nortel NCF formats. Creating and managing neighborlists has never been easier.;

 June 21, 2000 - Wave Concepts announces the release of Athena 3.2. New features include the additon of a special point-to-multipoint mode for LMDS/MMDS or any other point-to-multipoint technology, and a special repeater tool for calculating C/I at a repeater location based on interference levels from all other sites. Also included in the new repeater tool is the ability to combine repeater and donor signals for considering interference calulations system wide taking the guess work out of repeater placement and installation.

 March1, 2000 - Wave Concepts announces the release of Athena 3.0, the most advanced propagation planning tool on the market. New features include advanced CDMA interference algorithms allowing Engineers to see Ec/Io performance for every sector at every point in the system. Dominant Pilot plots, strongest 3 pilots, Ec/Io by sector, and a new traffic loading simulation tool combine to make Athena the premier tool for simulation and pre-optimization. Also, comming soon is a an automatic neigbor list generator based on calculated Ec/Io for a loaded or unloaded network.

 November 2000 - Wave Concepts announces the upcoming release of Athena 3.0 with improved plotting speed, expanded interference analysis tools, a hand-off region identifier, and new drive test analysis capabilities. In addition, Athena will now be able to accurately simulate a loaded CDMA network allowing users to get an accurate portrayal of what the network will look like after launch. V3.0 should be available by mid-February.

 August 2000 - Wave Concepts releases Athena v.2.1. New features include a sectors-per-user tool for CDMA, allowing the user to view graphically how many sectors are in soft or softer handoff, and a new prediction area identifier for geographically identifying the current prediction area.

 July 2000 - Wave Concepts announces sale of undisclosed number of Athena licenses to Cellcom, based in Green Bay, Wisconsin for planning the CDMA overlay and expansion of their cellular networks throughout the mid-west.

February 2000 - Wave Concepts inks new deal with Decision Strategies of New Jersey to provide RF Engineering services for Lucent Technologies in Salt Lake City, Utah.

January 2000 - Wave Concepts releases Athena v.2.0 with improved mapping capabilities, and the ability to use high resolution satellite data.

Nov. 24, 1999 - Press Release - Wave Concepts announced today that they will begin to license the advanced algorithms that, up to this point, had only been available in their RF prediction tool Athena. The Athena algorithm set will include the super accurate CRC-PREDICTTM diffraction code, the new Wong model endorsed by the FCC, and the unique stepped radial method of Ramsay Decker for making the most efficient use of the CRC-PREDICTTMcode and improving the accuracy at significant distances. The algorithms will be available as a DLL under several different licencing options. "Empirical models just don't have the spatial resolution to accurately predict at PCS frequencies. Companies are spending too much time and effort drive testing to tune these outdated models. We can offer a truly predictive, super accurate solution to all the tool vendors that will increase the value of their tool significantly and speed up the design process for their customers. It's a win-win situation," said Cameron Crum, VP of Technology for Wave Concepts.

July 1999 - Wave Concepts inks deal with Decision Strategies of New Jersey to provide engineering services to Lucent Technologies in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

 June 1999 - Wave Concepts introduces CityBuild v.1.0 to allow Map Info® users to modify 30m DEM's to add buildings, elevated highways, highway canyons, etc. for more accurate predictions over changing landscapes due to urban development.

January 1998 - Wave Concepts introduces Athena v.1.0.
