At Wave Concepts, we believe that using real scientific terminology is more useful and provides both the technical and non-technical visitor the most accurate information. For this reason, we will not try to label our techniques and processes with flowery terms or come up with nifty names for something that most RF Engineers already know. If you do not understand a term, process, or technique, or simply wish to know more about a topic, feel free to contact us and ask a question. We will be more than happy to talk with you.
Point-to-Multipoint Technologies
With the increasing demand for broadband services, high speed broadband
wireless networks seem to popping up everywhere. Athena is very well suited
to designing such networks with its special point-to-multipoint mode and
statistical interference analysis. By running a path from each node to
your hub and then conducting a statistical interference analyis on all
signals, Athena is able to compute the effects of having several transmitters
converging at the hub, outputting the C/I, received signal level, and communication
reliability for each desired node at each antenna at the hub. This information
will allow point-to-multipoint planner to know exactly how each node is
effecting each other node at the hub resulting in a better design.
